Sign the petition to better Wichita!
The Wichita City Council is working on updating the city’s tobacco retail license (TRL) which was established in 1994 before new electronic vape products existed. This would put the responsibility and penalties on the businesses selling deadly products to underage people instead of on young people who have been targeted by the industry and gotten hooked on tobacco.
We can reduce youth access to deadly and addictive tobacco products by holding retailers accountable for underage sales- keeping youth out of harms way and giving ALL neighborhoods a fair shot at living longer and healthier lives. Wichita data shows nearly half of underage PUP citations were given to Black and Hispanic youth, who have been specifically targeted with ads for generations.
