CDC’s E-Cigarette Resources for Providers

Tobacco and Nicotine Cessation Toolkit – American Academy of Family Physicians has recently added new resources to their provider toolkit. The toolkit includes treatment protocols, EHR guides, coding information, Cessation Pharmacologic-guide, patient resources and more!

Kansas Tobacco Quitline Resources – Easily refer patients for free counseling and support. Brochures with holders, wallet cards and posters in English and Spanish are available to display in your waiting areas and exam rooms. Quitline Clipboards are also available for staff or patient use. These resources serve as a prompt and creates a supportive environment.

Thirdhand Smoke: What Every Primary Care Provider Needs to Know – This webinar (recorded April 15, 2019) presents an overview of thirdhand smoke and a discussion of implications for the patient encounter and for the environment of care, with an emphasis on the pediatric patient population. The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California designates this archived activity for a maximum of 1.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
