February Store Audit Data Presented at Tobacco Marketing Summit
This week TFW partnered with the Kansas Health Foundation to host attendees from across the state to take a closer look at the tobacco industry marketing practices at the point where the products enter our community. The morning included national experts who introduced marketing practices, the impact of those practices, and the legal implications of possible policy options. In the afternoon, local case studies were the topic.
Thanks to the wonderful volunteers who participated in the store audit process, Tara Nolen with the Sedgwick County Health Department and Kathy Sikes, chair of TFW presented data collected from Wichita observations, as well as preliminary analysis of what this means for Wichita.
