The SouthWind Casino in Kaw City, Oklahoma will be the first smoke-free casino in the area and one of the first in Oklahoma when it begins business in March. Casino Manager Pam Shaw stated,  “In my experience, I’ve found this is something there’s a market for…People want to go somewhere where there’s no smoke.”

Shaw also stated that non-smoking casino visitors represent one of the two markets that the casino will market to. This location is also expected to attract people spending time at the Kaw Lake during the warmer months.

The casino will begin with 60 games. Shaw stated, ‘There will be a lot of winning and a great selection of games.”.
